We went to Betty's last night for tea and i have to say what a lovely atmosphere it has. Sitting by the big glass windows with the piano playing is dreamy. The service was very good too. And so i would recommend you go to Betty's for the great atmosphere.

However, if you want something to eat i would say STOP, don't go. The food was very expensive, but even worse it was awful. Little chef does better !

I had an £11 gammon. Expensive i thought as most places charge £7.50-10 for this type of dish. We're in Betty's i thought so this will be pretty good. Wrong. I got a chop like gammon steak (small) some chips and an egg which was solid. Oh and one piece of salad garnish. Wow that really made the difference. I couldn't believe it really.

The cakes on the trolley looked as though they had been unfrozen earlier that day - certainly not fresh. And £5.50 for a cake - taking the p***.

Betty's, i thought offered quality food and good service in a great atmosphere. For the prices they charge they need to offer all three, not two out of three.
